Few first-of-its-kind rides in Sea World waterpark

The new Sea World San Antonio waterpark Aquatica Texas has opened with two brand new feature waterslides from ProSlide as well as a kidz slide area.

The Walhalla Wave, a ProSlide TornadoWAVE, and Stingray Falls, a ProSlide MAMMOTH, were designed for Aquatica Texas and are the first of their kind.

The Walhalla Wave is the first ProSlide TornadoWAVE, the best extreme gravity water ride of 2012, in the Western Hemisphere. The Walhalla Wave starts riders off at over 60 feet, propelling them through a 720 degree twist before dropping them at a 45 degree angle into the WAVE section of the ride where riders experience a unique moment of weightlessness as they are brought right up to the point of being vertical.

Stingray Falls, a ProSlide's MAMMOTH mega-tube water ride, is the world’s only family water ride that goes through a giant Stingray tank. The 600ft long Stingray Falls is another world’s first from ProSlide. At 600 feet long, the Stingray starts off at over 50 feet with riders in the 4 to 5 man rafts decending through a series of turns and drops before riding underneath the Stingray tank. The ride delivers an exciting water slide followed by the sensation of floating along the bottom of the ocean surrounded by stingrays.
