On Monday January 9th the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland park will be closed for some major work. The main change will be a new fleet of bobsleds.

Featuring a new, sleek design, the new Matterhorn vehicles will have three seats in each bobsled with two bobsleds linked together for a total of six guests. This is as it was at the opening of Disney’s first rollercoaster ride. Disadvantage is the drop-back in capacity from 8 to 6 people.
So today are the last-minute bobsledding, until re-opening later this summer.
Besides the work at Matterhorn Bobsleds, there will also be some smaller changes in the park: Main Street Blue Ribbon Bakery will disappear to make room for indoor seating of the Carnation Café. The Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, a Mary Poppins themed restaurant, will be now the new place to pick-up quick breakfast.
